Bitcoin Light

Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 June 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the BitcoinLight application, website, interfaces, software, tools, and related services (collectively, "BitcoinLight" or the "Service").

The Service is operated by Peersyst Technology Global S.L. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using BitcoinLight, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms that may apply to specific features, third-party services, premium functionality, promotions, or opt-in programs.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights where applicable.

1. What BitcoinLight Is

BitcoinLight is a non-custodial wallet interface that allows users to create, import, manage, and use blockchain accounts and interact with supported blockchain networks, tokens, protocols, decentralized applications, and third-party services.

BitcoinLight currently supports the Bitcoin network and the Nervos (CKB) network, including native Bitcoin (BTC), native Nervos (CKB), CKB-based tokens, and RGB++ assets. BitcoinLight may add support for additional networks, tokens, protocols, or features over time, including, where and when made available, the Lightning Network, the Fiber Network, swap and routing functionality, and cross-chain interoperability.

BitcoinLight is designed to help users access blockchain functionality in a more intuitive way. However, blockchain transactions involve risks, including irreversible transfers, loss of access to assets, smart contract risk, market volatility, third-party service failures, network failures, user error, and regulatory uncertainty.

2. Non-Custodial Nature of the Service

BitcoinLight is a non-custodial wallet. This means that we do not custody, hold, manage, or control your crypto-assets, private keys, recovery phrases, passwords, accounts, or transactions.

You are solely responsible for:

  • safeguarding your private keys, seed phrases, recovery phrases, passwords, devices, and backups
  • maintaining access to your wallet and accounts
  • ensuring that your device and app environment are secure
  • reviewing all transaction details before signing or approving any transaction
  • understanding the risks of blockchain networks, crypto-assets, decentralized applications, smart contracts, and third-party services

3. No Control Over Blockchain Networks

BitcoinLight provides an interface to supported blockchain networks and related services. We do not operate, control, or guarantee the availability, performance, security, fees, finality, or behavior of any blockchain network, node, miner, smart contract, bridge, liquidity protocol, decentralized exchange, third-party wallet, third-party service, or crypto-asset.

Transactions are processed by the relevant blockchain network, smart contract, protocol, or third-party service, not by BitcoinLight. Network congestion, failed transactions, incorrect fees, delays, protocol changes, outages, forks, smart contract vulnerabilities, bridge failures, or third-party failures may affect your transactions or assets.

4. Transaction Review and User Responsibility

Before approving, signing, or submitting any transaction, you are responsible for carefully reviewing all transaction details shown in the transaction flow, including the final confirmation screen.

This includes, without limitation:

  • recipient address
  • sender account
  • asset or token (including BTC, CKB, CKB-based tokens, and RGB++ assets)
  • amount
  • network (Bitcoin, Nervos, or other supported network)
  • fees
  • contract or script interaction
  • Nervos DAO deposit or withdrawal details
  • swap, routing, bridge, or cross-chain details, where applicable
  • any other information presented before signing

5. Addresses and Recipient Information

Blockchain addresses are complex and may be difficult to verify manually. You are responsible for ensuring that any address, account, contact, recent recipient, QR code, clipboard content, payment request, or other recipient information used in the Service is correct before approving a transaction.

You should always verify recipient details on the final confirmation screen before signing. Sending assets to an incorrect, outdated, inaccessible, unsupported, or unintended address may result in permanent loss.

The Bitcoin network and the Nervos network use different address formats and are not interchangeable. Sending an asset to an address on the wrong network — for example, sending BTC to a CKB address, or sending CKB to a Bitcoin address — may result in permanent loss of those assets.

6. Security of Your Device and Environment

You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device, operating system, browser, app store account, cloud backup, biometric authentication, password manager, and network connection you use with BitcoinLight.

We are not responsible for losses resulting from compromised devices, malware, phishing, social engineering, clipboard manipulation, unauthorized access, weak passwords, shared devices, lost devices, insecure backups, or failure to follow reasonable security practices.

We will never ask you to share your private key, seed phrase, recovery phrase, or password.

7. Third-Party Services and Integrations

BitcoinLight may provide access to or integrate with third-party services, including but not limited to blockchain networks, RPC providers, nodes, indexers, decentralized applications, swaps, bridges, on-ramp providers, off-ramp providers, aggregators, analytics tools, payment providers, support tools, or other external services.

Third-party services are provided by their respective operators and may be subject to their own terms, fees, privacy policies, eligibility requirements, geographic restrictions, KYC/AML checks, risk disclosures, and regulatory requirements.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, including their availability, performance, accuracy, security, compliance, pricing, fees, routing, execution, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, customer support, or handling of user funds.

Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and may require you to accept additional terms directly with the relevant provider.

8. Swaps, Routing, Bridges, and Cross-Chain Transactions

Where and when made available, BitcoinLight may allow you to access swaps, routing, bridges, cross-chain functionality, or other transaction services through third-party decentralized providers, smart contracts, aggregators, liquidity providers, protocols, relayers, solvers, or similar mechanisms.

BitcoinLight does not guarantee that a swap, route, bridge, or cross-chain transaction will be available, successful, timely, profitable, optimal, reversible, or free from error.

Rates, fees, slippage, execution paths, final received amounts, and settlement times may vary. Quoted values may be estimates and may change before execution. Cross-chain transactions may involve additional risks, including bridge failure, delayed settlement, smart contract exploits, incompatible assets, incorrect networks, liquidity limitations, or loss of funds.

BitcoinLight may receive fees, commissions, rebates, spreads, routing fees, or other economic benefits in connection with swaps, routes, transactions, or third-party services accessed through the app. Any applicable fees or transaction details displayed in the transaction flow should be reviewed before approval.

You are responsible for reviewing and understanding all relevant details before approving any swap, bridge, route, or cross-chain transaction.

9. On-Ramp and Off-Ramp Services

BitcoinLight may provide access to fiat on-ramp, off-ramp, or payment services through third-party providers, aggregators, or integrations, including MELD where available.

These services are provided by third parties, not by BitcoinLight. We do not control user verification, identity checks, payment method acceptance, card or bank approvals, quoted prices, exchange rates, spreads, fees, execution, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, availability, eligibility, geographic restrictions, or regulatory compliance processes for those services.

On-ramp and off-ramp transactions may be subject to third-party terms, privacy policies, fees, limits, KYC/AML requirements, sanctions screening, delays, rejections, reversals, or additional checks. You are responsible for reviewing the relevant third-party terms and transaction details before proceeding.

BitcoinLight may receive fees, commissions, rebates, or other economic benefits in connection with on-ramp or off-ramp services accessed through the app.

10. Nervos DAO Participation

BitcoinLight may allow you to deposit, withdraw, and claim compensation from the Nervos DAO directly from the wallet interface.

The Nervos DAO is a native protocol mechanism of the Nervos network that allows holders of CKB to deposit CKB in exchange for compensation related to the inflation of the Nervos network. The Nervos DAO is operated by the Nervos protocol, not by BitcoinLight. We do not custody, manage, or control deposited CKB, the Nervos DAO mechanism, the calculation of compensation, deposit cycles, withdrawal windows, or any other aspect of Nervos DAO operations.

Participation in the Nervos DAO involves risks specific to the Nervos protocol, including but not limited to:

  • deposit periods and epoch-based withdrawal windows that may delay access to deposited CKB
  • changes in compensation rates over time, which depend on Nervos protocol parameters and network conditions
  • protocol changes, governance decisions, or technical failures affecting the Nervos DAO
  • transaction fees and timing constraints associated with withdrawal requests and final withdrawals
  • the possibility that compensation may be lower than expected, delayed, or, in extreme circumstances, unavailable

Any information related to Nervos DAO deposits, expected compensation, withdrawal timing, or rewards displayed in the Service is provided for convenience and may be estimated, delayed, incomplete, or subject to change. We do not guarantee Nervos DAO compensation, deposit performance, future compensation rates, protocol behavior, or any future outcome.

You are responsible for reviewing the relevant Nervos DAO mechanics, expected compensation, deposit and withdrawal timing, applicable fees, and risks before participating.

11. RGB++ Assets and Bitcoin-Bound Tokens

BitcoinLight may support RGB++ assets and other tokens issued or transferred through experimental protocols that combine Bitcoin and Nervos through isomorphic binding, client-side validation, or similar mechanisms.

RGB++ and related protocols are experimental and rely on the interaction between the Bitcoin network and the Nervos network. The issuance, transfer, validation, and recovery of such assets depend on the correct functioning of the underlying protocols, smart contracts, scripts, indexers, and blockchain infrastructure.

Risks specific to RGB++ assets and similar bound tokens include, but are not limited to:

  • protocol bugs, vulnerabilities, or unexpected behavior in the binding mechanism
  • failures, forks, or changes affecting the Bitcoin network, the Nervos network, or the relationship between them
  • limited tooling, indexer availability, or wallet compatibility, which may affect your ability to view, send, or recover such assets
  • dependency on off-chain or client-side data that may be lost or become unavailable
  • limited or no liquidity, market price discovery, or secondary market availability
  • regulatory uncertainty regarding the classification and treatment of such assets

You are responsible for understanding how RGB++ assets and similar bound tokens function before acquiring, holding, sending, or interacting with them. You should not interact with such assets unless you understand and accept these risks.

12. Lightning Network and Fiber Network

Where and when made available, BitcoinLight may support the Lightning Network for Bitcoin payments and the Fiber Network for payments across the Bitcoin and Nervos ecosystems.

The Lightning Network and the Fiber Network are payment networks operated through protocols, payment channels, routing nodes, and related infrastructure that are not controlled by BitcoinLight. Use of these networks involves specific risks, including but not limited to:

  • channel state risk, including the need to maintain backups of channel state in order to recover funds
  • the possibility of force-closures, channel disputes, stuck payments, or expired HTLCs
  • routing failures, fee variability, or inability to find a viable payment route
  • liquidity constraints affecting the amounts that can be sent or received
  • watchtower availability, monitoring requirements, or other operational responsibilities
  • protocol changes, vulnerabilities, or exploits affecting the Lightning Network, the Fiber Network, or the underlying base layers

Where BitcoinLight provides access to these networks, the access is provided on an "as is" basis and is subject to all applicable disclaimers and limitations in these Terms. We do not guarantee channel availability, successful payments, recovery of funds in channel failure scenarios, or any specific routing or liquidity outcomes.

13. Premium Features, Rewards, and Promotions

BitcoinLight may, from time to time, offer premium features, loyalty programs, rewards, referrals, campaigns, or promotional benefits. These may be subject to additional terms, eligibility requirements, geographic limitations, technical restrictions, security checks, anti-abuse rules, and changes over time.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, any such feature, reward, tier, utility, access right, discount, or promotional benefit is not intended to constitute financial advice, investment advice, a guarantee of value, a security, or a promise of profit.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or change premium features, eligibility criteria, tiers, rewards, campaigns, or discounts where reasonably necessary, including for technical, security, legal, regulatory, operational, business, or anti-abuse reasons.

Any reward, referral, campaign, or promotional benefit may be refused, reversed, suspended, or adjusted where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, manipulation, duplicate accounts, technical exploitation, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable campaign rules.

14. No Financial, Investment, Legal, or Tax Advice

BitcoinLight does not provide financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. Any information displayed through the Service is provided for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as advice or as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, deposit, swap, bridge, transfer, or otherwise interact with any crypto-asset, protocol, smart contract, or service.

You are solely responsible for your decisions and should consult qualified professional advisers where appropriate.

15. Crypto-Asset Risks

Crypto-assets are highly volatile and may lose some or all of their value. Blockchain technology is experimental and may involve significant risks, including software bugs, smart contract vulnerabilities, governance changes, regulatory uncertainty, market manipulation, liquidity risks, cyberattacks, phishing, wallet compromise, protocol failures, bridge failures, network-level issues, and operational failures.

You should not use BitcoinLight to hold, transfer, deposit, swap, bridge, or interact with assets unless you understand and accept these risks.

16. Eligibility and Prohibited Use

You may use BitcoinLight only if you are legally permitted to do so in your jurisdiction and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

You agree not to use BitcoinLight for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or prohibited purposes, including but not limited to money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, theft, market manipulation, unauthorized access, exploitation of vulnerabilities, circumvention of eligibility rules, or violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.

We may restrict, suspend, or discontinue access to certain features where required or appropriate for legal, security, operational, compliance, or risk-management reasons.

17. Compliance With Laws and Taxes

You are solely responsible for determining and complying with any laws, regulations, reporting obligations, tax obligations, and restrictions that apply to your use of BitcoinLight, your crypto-assets, and your transactions.

We do not determine, calculate, report, withhold, or pay taxes on your behalf unless expressly required by law or expressly stated in a specific feature.

Rewards, Nervos DAO deposits, swaps, token transfers, on-ramp transactions, off-ramp transactions, and other activity may have tax consequences. You should consult a qualified tax adviser where appropriate.

18. Availability, Updates, and Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service from time to time, including to improve functionality, fix issues, address security matters, comply with legal requirements, prevent abuse, or adapt to changes in blockchain networks, protocols, smart contracts, or third-party services.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating system, blockchain network, token, protocol, or third-party service.

You are responsible for keeping your app updated to the latest available version. Older versions may contain issues that have been corrected in later releases or may stop being supported.

19. Optional Beta or Experimental Features

From time to time, we may offer optional beta, experimental, early-access, or limited-availability features. Such features will be made available only where users opt in or where they are clearly identified as beta, experimental, early access, or limited availability.

Beta or experimental features may be incomplete, unstable, subject to change, or discontinued at any time. They may involve additional risks and may be subject to separate terms or disclosures.

You use beta or experimental features at your own risk.

20. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, interfaces, trademarks, logos, content, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or internal purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, exploit, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by applicable law or expressly authorized by us.

21. User Content, Feedback, and Bug Reports

If you submit feedback, suggestions, bug reports, ideas, or other content to us, you grant us the right to use, reproduce, modify, and implement that feedback without restriction or obligation to compensate you, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We appreciate responsible reporting of bugs or security issues. Any reward, bounty, or appreciation payment is discretionary unless we publish a specific written program with defined eligibility rules.

You must not exploit, publicly disclose, or encourage others to exploit any vulnerability, bug, or security issue in a way that may harm users, the Service, third-party services, blockchain networks, or any related ecosystem.

22. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data, if any.

Because BitcoinLight is a non-custodial wallet, blockchain transactions may be publicly visible and permanently recorded on public blockchain networks. We cannot delete, modify, or control information recorded on a public blockchain.

23. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

We do not warrant that:

  • the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, complete, or error-free
  • any defect will be corrected within a specific timeframe
  • any transaction will be successful, timely, reversible, or recoverable
  • any blockchain network, token, protocol, smart contract, bridge, swap, on-ramp provider, off-ramp provider, or third-party service will operate as expected
  • any crypto-asset or token will retain value, have liquidity, remain available, or provide any future utility
  • any Nervos DAO deposit, reward, referral, loyalty, or promotional mechanism will produce any particular outcome
  • the Service will meet your specific needs or expectations

24. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, exemplary, speculative, or similar damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, loss of expected rewards, loss of market value, loss of crypto-assets, loss of tokens, loss of private keys, loss of recovery phrases, or loss of digital assets, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will be limited to direct damages that are actually suffered, reasonably foreseeable, and legally attributable to us.

Where a monetary cap is permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you directly to us for the relevant Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory of liability, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, warranty, statute, or otherwise, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be excluded, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived.

25. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to:

  • your use of the Service
  • your violation of these Terms
  • your violation of applicable law or third-party rights
  • your transactions, accounts, wallets, crypto-assets, Nervos DAO activity, swaps, bridges, on-ramp transactions, or off-ramp transactions
  • your misuse of the Service or third-party services
  • your exploitation, misuse, or improper disclosure of vulnerabilities, bugs, or security issues

26. Suspension, Termination, and Continued Access to Assets

You may stop using BitcoinLight at any time. Because BitcoinLight is non-custodial, deleting the app does not delete your blockchain accounts or assets from the relevant blockchain networks.

Because BitcoinLight is non-custodial, your ability to access your assets depends on your control of the relevant private keys, seed phrase, recovery phrase, or other recovery method — not on BitcoinLight continuing to operate. If you have properly backed up your recovery information, you should generally be able to access your blockchain accounts through compatible wallet software even if BitcoinLight is unavailable, suspended, discontinued, or deleted from your device.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service or specific features where reasonably necessary, including for security reasons, legal compliance, abuse prevention, technical maintenance, risk management, or violation of these Terms.

Termination, suspension, or discontinuation of access to the Service does not affect transactions already submitted to blockchain networks and does not give us custody or control over your blockchain assets.

27. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by posting the updated Terms in the app or on our website.

The updated Terms will become effective on the date stated at the top of the document, unless a different date is specified. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.

28. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Andorra, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, mandatory jurisdiction rules, or applicable law that may provide otherwise, the courts of Andorra will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service.

If you are a consumer, you may benefit from mandatory rights and protections under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by these Terms.

Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at info@peersyst.com so that we can try to resolve the matter informally.

29. App Store Terms

If you downloaded BitcoinLight from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app marketplace, your use of the app may also be subject to that marketplace’s terms and policies. In case of conflict between those marketplace terms and these Terms, the marketplace terms apply only to the extent required by the marketplace.

30. Support Channels

BitcoinLight may provide support through different channels, including community support through Discord, app-store support links, and email support.

General support requests may be directed to info@peersyst.com or to the support channels made available in the app, on the website, through the relevant app store, or through BitcoinLight community channels.

You should never share private keys, seed phrases, recovery phrases, passwords, or other sensitive wallet credentials through any support channel.
